Program Help

1) How many programs did you make?  One for every guest?  Less?  More?

2) Help me word a quick "thank you" sentence and also a quick "in loving memory" sentence.

THANK YOU!  My wedding is on Saturday and I have lost the ability to think or make decisions for myself.

Bonus points if you come over to my house to proof, print, and assemble these.  :)

Re: Program Help

  • Just know, you are not alone.  I'm making up ours for Saturday as well right now while I'm supposed to be working.  We're doing 85 for 130 people.  I figure a majority of people will be with a date and prefer to share.

  • I've started the daunting task of googling other programs and cut and pasting their thank yous.  How personal and meaningful is THAT???   :)

  • I'm also finishing up programs!

For the thank yous... I broke it up into 3 sections, to family and friends, to our wedding party, and to our parents. Then we wrote "thank you for coming and celebrating this day with us. We are so glad you were able to be here to share this very special day with us...." blah blah blah

For in loving memory... write something like "We would like to take a moment to remember some special family members who could not be here with us today... Grandma ____ (grandmother of the bride).... "

    # wise... for 180 I am making 100. I think the lady I spoke to told me to do half the guests + 10%... so mathematical!

    Good Luck!

  • I made 100 programs for 120 expected guests and we still had a bunch leftover.

    Our thank you line was:

Danielle and Chris would like to give a special thank you to their parents, family, and friends for their love and support.

We decided not to do an "in memory" section because my H was the only one with close family members that have passed and he didn't want it.
