Rose petals to line aisle

This is not etiquette related, but this board always seems to be the most active, so I am hoping that someone here can help.

I am having an outdoor ceremony and love the look of rose petals lining the aisle. (Ex: http://media.redgaloshes.com/sq/273/011584.jpg

We are having approximately 200 guests, which I think will be about 13-15 rows of seats. Any idea how many rose petals we will need? Most information I have found gives estimates by sq ft. I am thinking that 15 rows of seats will be about 45 feet (times 2 sides) but really I have no idea. Anyone have any experience with this?

    This is a good suggestion.

Thanks. I was hoping to avoid that since we wouldn't order from them since the price they quoted per sq ft was not remotely in our budget. I will probably just call the venue to see how long the aisle might be and go from there.

You can still get a quote for the amount of flowers, just to find out the amount of flowers she suggests.  Sneaky, but not impossible.

i dont know, what i would do is measure out the rows and then keep buying rose petals and then double it for the other side, BUt i like to do things the hard way and I am sure your florist would know. If you dont have one, or going fake I am sure you can just go to a story talk to them for a bit then get their opinion

I would suggest you choose lighter colors like the ones in the photo.  We did this using red and orange but they didn't show up in the grass as much as I would have liked.

I would guess that it is actually closer to 4 feet per row and that the aisle is at least 5 feet wide so that is 300 sq ft.

Of couse you could just use the petal calculator that I found by googling this:
