email update?

My wedding is soon appraching and I want to send an update out to our guests reminding them to book hotel rooms soon if they are planning to, and also about what time our shuttle is leaving (i will be having this info in their hotel welcome bags but i thought people might want to know before they arrive at the hotel)  Do you think it is tacky for me to send out an email to everyone?  I just don't want to harass people

I wouldn't remind them to book hotel rooms.  People have common sense (presumably) and can make their own arrangements.

I would put the shuttle instructions in their welcome bags.

Don't send an update about the hotel.

I admit, I harped on my brother (a groomsman) about the hotel, but he's the kid who needs harping on.  I wouldn't send a reminder to the rest of the family.

I don't think you need to give people the shuttle info.  Did you at least tell them on info with your invite or on your wedding website that you're providing a shuttle?  I would appreciate having that info in advance, but finding out once I checked into the hotel wouldn't be the end of the world. 

As for the hotels, I wouldn't mass-email your guestlist, but if you have friends and family that you know (or strongly suspect) are coming and will need a hotel room that haven't booked yet--your hotel can tell you who is in your block so far--you might want to email or call them individually to mention that hotels are filling up right now, and if you have a block, it might be nice to remind people about it if the block rate is going to expire soon.  I would probably only do that for people you are really close to (not sure how large your wedding is)--we helped some aunts/uncles and friends coordinate rooms, but more distant family and parents' we left alone.

I reminded those who I knew were coming but didn't have hotel reservations about two days before our block closed.  And the only reason I actually did that was because our block rate was substantially less than the regular rate.
