Withholding sex

Do people actually do this as 'punishment' (/motivation)? At first I presumed you were all joking in Whit's thread, but now I'm not so sure.

Re: Withholding sex

  • No. Why the hell would I want to punish myself too? Also, it is a childish tactic.

  • my friend told me she does.  she said after 3 kids and 10 years, he husband has to "earn it".  i dont see how anyone can view sex as a chore if they love their spouse, btu apparently she does.
  • I wouldn't do this.  It's a low move.  However, like other's have said, when I'm angry, I'm not in the mood.  It's the same outcome (angry noelle24 = no sex), but I think the attitude behind it makes a whole lot of difference.  I just don't feel very close to FI when I'm angry at him, and I need that feeling to want (and enjoy) sex.  I would never do this manipulatively. How can anyone have sex with their FI when they *are* angry with them?  That, to me, doesn't seem very healthy either.

  • I was half way joking. And I say that because when I'm stressed/pissed/annoyed.. I'm not in the mood anyway? So it's basically the same thing just without the evil plan.
