Invitation Working Check

Just want another set of eyes. It's not a traditionally styled invitation at all. The font is quite modern, so the date and such doesn't look out of place.Bride&GroomTogether with their familiesInvite you to celebrate their nuptial liturgy11.28.09Half after twoSs. • See, I would think it would look better and more balanced.

  • Are you DIYing your invites? I worded mine "together with their families" (in copperplate light) then our names in script (larger), then the rest of the wording in block font. I had the same feeling, that the top looked a bit bare and awkward with just the one line. IF you are DIYing them, what I did is purchased a nice border stamp (about 5" wide) and stamped the top of the invites and it really worked wonders to give the overall look a bit more balance/proportion.

  • They look great! You could totally put "together with their families" at the top, and it would still keep a very nice format.
  • I like the together with part just where you have it. Makes sense to me that the bride and groom's names come first and your design works well. I'd add "o'clock" after the two, and write Saints instead of Ss.
