Recommend your seating chart software

Re: Recommend your seating chart software

• I'm pretty sure it doesn't require software.I've heard great things about small post-its and paper plates.

• I used post its and paper cut outs (since our tables were rectangular rather than round) to actually arrange the seating. But I put the whole seating chart on marthastewartweddings.com so that people in other locations could log in, look it over, and recommend changes.
• Post-its and paper plates are the way to go. I used Martha Stewart for the table arrangements (meaning, where they would be placed in the room), but I won't use it for seating charts.

• Thats a good idea, but I'd like to have something on the computer to email to the people who are supposed to set up.  LOL, I think I'm wasting alot of time though looking for a software, I might as well just make my own diagram and then group guests.
• I used www.weddingwire.com for pretty much all things related to organization (budget, guest list, seating chart, gift tracking). Their seating chart tool freaking rocks, and it's all free.

• Just use powerpoint.  Make a slide with a bunch of circles/squares for your tables.  Then put all of the names on (at the top or bottom) in individual text boxes.  The test boxes work like post its, except they don't get coffee stained or ripped!  You can then make infinite copies of the blank slide, and rearrange the name labels as often as you like.
• I used excel.
• I loved the Martha Stewart seating arrangement. You chose the table type, size, how many ppl sitting etc. You can also move people around as parties or as individuals. We were moving people pretty much up until the day of the wedding.
• Weddingwire.com & Martha Stewart have essentially the same software. Its fantastic, and even better, FREE.
• There's seriously software out there for this stuff? Guess ya learn something new everyday. I just used a pencil and the entire eraser stub :)
