Anonymous gift

Shame on me, I'm just now finishing up my thank you notes.  Anyway, we received a gift that had no names attached.  There is no way of knowing who got it for us because there were quite a few people who came to the wedding without bringing a card or gift.  It was a gift from our registry so do you think Bed Bath and Beyond would have records of who bought what?   I hate receiving a gift and not being able to thank whoever gave it to us.

Re: Anonymous gift

  • Call BBB and start thereHow many names are on the no gift list?

  • 18 did not give gifts
  • At least that's a small list to work from.  I'm sure this happens all the time and the store should be able to help you.

  • I would start the family rumour mill and say you got a lovely whatever and have no name on it and are wondering who was so nice to get it for you.
  • I have a really dopey aunt who is very flighty.  It could be possible that she would forget to put their names on a gift.  I also noticed that I do not have a gift from them.  Would it be rude to ask her outright if they gave me that?
  • She's family so I don't see the problem with asking her
