Just do whatever he needs you to do. Everyone is different, when I go through something like this I shut down. I don't want to be touched or coddled or waited on, I just want to deal with it in my own way. So, if he seems like one of those people, just give him his space.

there's not much you can do... I would just tell him when he gets home that if needs anything, you'll do it... I know in that situation, I'd likely want to be left alone
