So my dad wanted to go buy all the alcohol and do everything himself, but we just found a drink catering service for $20 bucks per over 21 guest (anyone under is free), which includes 3 types of wine, 4 beers, champagne for toast, and hard liquor--no limit, plus all the trimmings ie limes, cherries, mixers etc.  Is this a good deal? I have no clue about pricing of these things.

Sounds like a good deal. How many hours will they serve for? And you should ask how many bartenders they will send.

I think its two bartenders and the price is per person, from 530pm till 11.

Our venue is only reserved until midnight and they start getting people out at 1130, cutting the alcohol off around 11.  Trust me though, the night will not be ending there, the wedding is in the heart of Seattle's club district so there will be plenty of places to go and many people already have plans in the works.

I agree you should double check and make sure that's the fee for the WHOLE night.  That would suck if you got a bill 4.5 times what you thought.

it doesn't cover glassware and it is a reputable company, from one of Seattle's longest running bars.

That's an awesome deal.  We are paying about 13 bucks a head for open bar all night, that's with beer and wine and hard liquor and mixers and all.  But that's because our venue is allowing us to bring the booze in ourselves.
