I actually just jumped up and down and cheered in my cube for Mark Buehrle! Half of my team rushed over to see what was wrong.I wish I'd been able to see it all, but the radio broadcast was amazing. I thought it might give me a heart attack.Perfect game!

When Zambrano had his perfect game for the Cubs, I got a little teary eyed. I still do when I see replays. Congrats.

How can anyone hate Zambrano? I secretly hope Buehrle comes to play for the Cubs but until then...he and his perfect game can suck it.

:)OK, yes, professionalism fail. And definitely this post doesn't belong on a "wedding" board (though with all the other random stuff that shows up here on a daily basis, who's to say?)....I was overly excited and none of my colleagues are really baseball fans, so I had to go somewhere to share my little "Squee! I heart baseball!" moment.And I certainly didn't intend to start a riot (cubs v. sox, etc.)... I know how impassioned baseball fans can be at times! Just wanted to share the excitement.

That's how my ex was, gkb. SUPER annoying about it. Luckily the Braves didn't suck balls this year during those series.

gkb, your FI is a Cubs fan?  Yikes.My FI is a Cards fan and I'm a Sox fan.  It works out well because we're both anti-Cubs and we can root for each other's teams without much guilt.

Wow, there is a lot of Cubs bashing (not CubsGirl, but the team)I'd just like to say I am a Cubs fan, thanks to my dad growing up in Mundelein, IL. And I am a Rays fan so this perfect game thing, meh, not so impressed.

Brie-yeah, it's unfortunate.  I love how you said you and your FI met and bonded over your hate of the Cubs.  He's actually becomming less into them though.  He's a much bigger Blackhawks fan and they're getting much better, so he'd rather focus on them (thankfully).
