What are some things your man does/says that totally mean something else?If I ask my H if he thinks a woman is attractive I usually get two answers: "No" or "I don't know I wasn't looking"Obviously, no means no.  "I don't know" or any variation thereof means " Yes, but I really don't want to tell you"

Yeah, don't think anything means anything else.  I can read him well so I always know when something is off by looking at him.  He'll say he's fine 9 times out of 10 though.

When I know something is wrong, but he says "Nothing" when I ask.

Eh, my H just usually tells it like it is. However, he is very vague about things, like if I ask him where something is, he says "Out there" meaning in another room, doesn't point, just thinks I can read his mind and it's very frustrating.

Usually if we disagree on something to do (recent example tearing out the carpet and finishing the hardwood floors underneath) He will say "Fine, let's do it" and then when I get started, he get's all mad and snippy, and then I realize he didn't really want to do it.

If I ask him if he wants to do something, ie, go grocery shopping with me, he says, "sure, I could", which obviously means, "I will if you force me, but I'd really rather just sit here and play WoW" Then he complains when I spend $100.

'Maybe' always means 'Yes' to DH.

If I ask FI a difficult question about my appearance, he usually responds with "you're beautiful and I think you're really sexy" what he actually means is: "geez, I gave you the business last night, isn't that good enough to let you know that I'm fine with how you look? Please stop asking me these questions!!"

Maybe or we'll see means no. Just the same as with my mom when I was little.

I'll be there in 5 minutes actually means at least 15. And extreme lateness with apointless excuse like "I was looking for my swim shorts" actually means the Yankees were on and I was watching the game. Grr...

Ditto Salt.  When DH says "maybe" or "we'll see," it usually means no.  It makes me so mad.  Like if I say, "Do you want to go to a movie on Friday?" and he says "we'll see," I'd rather him just say "no" if he doesn't want to go.

Alix, its not anything like what you are thinking.  If we are watching tv and I say someone is pretty and ask him "Don't you think so?"  he'll answer me with one of those.  I don't go around pointing out chicks to my H.  That would only be setting myself up for disappointment.

FI is pretty straightforward. And easy to read anyway, so I can't think of anything offhand. Salt--love the new pic!

Gotcha I just know a few girls who do that all the time, and then biitch and moan about it and it drives me freaking nuts.

1) Multiply all time estimates by at least 3.  Example: "I'll be done washing dishes in 30 seconds and then we can go."  Reality: dishes are done in a minute and a half, then shoes must be located, shirt changed, email checked, and pockets appropriately stuffed before departure.2) "Hey, what do you think about X?" means "I want to do X and I'm afraid to ask you if I can do it."  I'm not really sure why he still does this, since we have really good, open communication and I've never once shot down an idea of his right off the bat.  Must be ingrained.3) "I did my laundry/cleaned my room/unpacked" means "I am 2/3 done with my laundry/cleaning my room/unpacking and the remaining 1/3 will get done the next time I do 2/3 of this activity and I will be completely done on the 7th of Never."  This one drives me batty and thus turns me into a nagging wench.  When we move in together, I am just going to take over all the cleaning/tidying, because he doesn't mind if I do everything as long as I don't nag him.
