this is the code for the render ad

This is very odd.

I have a fairly unusual first/last name combo. I don't spell my first name the 'typical' way, and my last name is not a common one. Someone else has registered at the same place as me with not only my first and last name, but on the same date as me, in the same state. Very strange. I have a feeling I am going to end up with a lot of the crappy spatulas she registered for.

Re: This is very odd.

  • Agreed, I'd call the store to verify it. It might be a system error that some other girl's registry was duplicated under your name.
  • Twas I!! I did it. In the BBB, with the registering gun. I hope you love the deviled egg holders I registered you for.

  • Oh, that is just great. I would be worried too.
  • Are you friends with many practical jokers? Maybe someone is playing a practical joke on you?

  • I feel like a jerk calling and being like EXCUSE ME, TWO PEOPLE CANNOT HAVE MY NAME. ITS MY DAY! Well I'm sure if your approach it as you having such an unusual name that you're worried it may have been a glitch would make it understandable.  Besides, who cares what the person thinks of you, you'll never meet them or talk to them again.

  • The only option I see here is to copyright your name. That'll do 'er. And you're right. AlmondWhittle is a really odd name for 2 people to have.

  • I would check on that too.  Perhaps someone who knows you or the groom did it as a joke in really poor taste?
