Menu Cards?

I've seen in alot of bios of other knotties that they are making "menu cards" ... Is this something that is normally done? Or is it for receptions that are a buffet?  I'm confused if I need these?TIA for any input! :)

Re: Menu Cards?

  • Totally optional.  We did them, because we had a duet plate and I wanted our guests to know what they were eating.  I bought paper from PaperSource and printed them on my home printer.

  • They can be done, but don't have to be.We're having a buffet and I'm doing them. Mostly because I wanted to make them and also to give everyone a head's up before they go up to the line. There is absolutely no real need for them though.

  • Yeah, I guess they can be done for buffets but I've only ever seen them in person for plated dinners.Just skip them and save yourself the extra money and work.  They'll be thrown away at the end of the night.

  • Definitely what B said - they're not at all necessary.If I wasn't such a paper wh0re, I definitely wouldn't be putting the money into them.

  • We're doing a menu chalkboard for our buffet.  We're going to write the menu on a chalkboard so everyone knows what there is to eat before the go through the line.
  • Navybaby, I love that idea!  If I wasn't already married, I'd steal it!
