I just want to thank you for everything! I think I've read your email a hundred times and have decided 100% I'm joining the Army. I took the ASVAB test today and got a 93 out of 99, and go down to for my physical and to sign the contract and reserve my job next Monday. I realized I was already starting to resent FI for trying to make me stay and if I did stay we'd break up over it. I think you kind of gave me the backbone I needed to make the decision for me and not him!

Glad I could help! I do think that you are making the right decision for yourself, because it is something that means a lot to you. Hopefully your FI will come around to the idea because it's important that you marry someone who supports your dreams and goals 100%. He may not agree with your choice, but you need his support. Btw - That's an awesome score! Good job!

Thanks I'm amazed I did so good there were a ton of questions on cars, and construction. FI doesn't know I took the test yet lol. Actually your the first one I told besides the recruiter

I'd totally fail. I know nothing about that stuff. When do you plan to tell him? If you are reserving the job next Monday, when do you think you'll leave for basic?

I'm going to be a total and wait til I go back Monday to tell him, I don't wan thim talking me out of it. As of right now I will leave either Sept or Nov depending on which job I pick.

Okay, gotcha. Just make sure to tell him sooner rather than later..Monday seems okay. Remember that honestly is key in a relationship. He will most likely be upset when you tell him, but if he finds out that you kept it from him then that will just add fuel to the fire. Sorry that I just went all Dr. Phil on you. And don't let him talk you out of it if it's something you truly have your heart set on.
