Me = jealous too. I want to spit out a few kids and make millions, but only if I can do so without the weird haircut. Have you seen her wedding photos and her amazing long blonde hair?

I think with the crooked houses you have to consider that at that point, they knew they were separating and probably knew the arrangement. Since Kate was going to be living in the house, I think she should have the say in where they put them. I admit she was atrocious in the way she talked to him at times. However, I don't pretend to know what it's like to raise 8 children, so I try not to judge. I just hope I never talk to FI that way, even under stress.

Ditto PP. You never know how you would react if you were in that situation. Yes, her tones and actions were very harsh and uncalled for at times. However, at times John seemes pretty damn worthless and it almost seemed as though "super control freak" was a role Kate HAD to step into b/c John wouldn't step up to the plate. He's a douche!

i have to admit, i am appalled that anyone would say that they've "always liked her" or that she's a "good mother".  and frankly, i judge.

I agree ggmae, I have always liked Kate. Fiance' and I snap at eachother when the puppy is misbehaving, and we can put her in a crate. I can't imagine raising that many kids and acting the same way you did when you were dating. Jon had been dealing with her nagging for years, but they just did a vow renewal for their 10th anniversary. :(What kind of example is he setting for his FIVE daughters leaving his wife and hooking up with some trashy twenty-something party girl? "He girls, screw self respect! Daddy left mommy so he could party."

So I want to know if anyone thinks they could have been separated for longer than they've let on, but stayed together for the show.  So maybe Jon didn't really cheat (since they considered themselves separated) but just got caught with another girl so TLC decided to use it as a new angle for the show.I don't really watch or care for J&K + 8, but I heard this rumor somewhere.  Not sure if it's true, but with reality tv being what it is these days, maybe it was all staged because they were afraid of what it would do to the ratings.  That may also be the reasoning for Kate always going after Jon lately.

I'd heard that they were living apart as well. IMO seperated is not divorced. If you are married and you are dating then it is still cheating. I don't think their divorce is even finalized yet.

what really got to me was the "big announcement" episode which they announced divorce. jon said he was "proud of himself" proud? proud of what? failing to make your marriage work? i was so irritated by that.
