Invitation Question: Divorced Parents...how to word?

Wording dinner rehearsal invitations:My FI's divorced parents are hosting our dinner rehearsal and I want to make sure that I am honoring them as well as using proper etiquette in wording.My FI's mother kept her married name and his father remarried.  Here is the way I "think" it should read:Ms. Jane Doe (mother) and Mr. and Mrs. John Doe (his father and stepmother) request the pleasure of your company...Is this the correct way to word this type of situation?Thanks in advance for your help!

I would keep their names on separate lines just to avoid confusion. I would probably also list out step-mom's first name (Mr. & Mrs. John and Sally Doe).

And in invites means married Ms Jane DoeMr and Mrs Jon Doe

You wouldn't actually include the part in parathesis right?  Don't separate them with the "and" but put them on separate lines instead.Ms. Jane DoeMr. and Mrs. John Doerequest the pleasure of your company
