Width of Aisle Runner

What's the width of an average aisle runner that you would buy from Micheals or Walmart?  I haven't bought my aisle runner yet, but I need to blow up my monogram this week before school starts and I need to know how big to make it.  Thanks!

They're 3ft wide. When I printed mine out, I printed it at 3ft x 3ft, but I had a decent sized margin on the sides of the monogram. I would print at 2.5x3 if your monogram stretches to the edges of your file.

I followed the instructions on the Road to the Aisle blog and she recommended 3 ft wide by 2 ft tall, so that's what I did.  I bought the regular runner in the wedding aisle at Joanns.
