Football!! FI is a 49ers fan (poor guy)...so I support that. I've never been huge into the NFL, so it's kind of nice to have a tie to some team. Other than the seahawks since I lived with their like 3rd string QB at ISU.I'm totally into college football though - Go Huskers!!

Lynda - Your parents sound like my kind of people! =)It's funny, my parents just moved to Indy about 6 years ago.  The first thing they did was buy season tickets even though they really were not Colts fan (they are from DE).  Now they are crazy fans.   Apparently they have awesome seats.  We were planning on going to the Colts/Jets (DH's team) game until we found out the game is on Dec 27.  There is no way in hell we can leave the island during that time.    Boo  :-(

At least I graduated from Michigan State, unlike 90% of the Michigan fans. I used to date a guy who was a Redskins fan and he was such a biitch about it.  Wouldn't watch a game with me because he had to focus on it and he would be in a really bad mood if they lost.  Stupid.

Ha.  But even the first half of the regular season was pretty awesome. I think they were 6-2, and had a couple really great games.  Then it was all downhill.

Lynda - I would love to be able to go to a game, but the tickets are just so damn expensive. But FI and I have made it a goal to make it to at least one game this season. Were you wanting to go to the Colts/Jets game because you guys are Jets fans?

Yeah, you at least have a reason. And you can't help where you went to school (unless you specifically went there because of the football team). My heart still tugs when Iowa State plays (and subsequently loses) a game. Poor, pathetic Cyclones.

Were you wanting to go to the Colts/Jets game because you guys are Jets fans?My DH is a HUGE Jets fan.  You should see him playing golf.  He as a Jets golf bag, towel, shirt, hat, jacket, tees, ball markers.  I think you get the idea.   His childhood friend has season tickets to the Jets, so he would go every game when he lived in the area.  This year we are going to the Miami/Jets game in Miami so he can go to the game.  His Long Islands friends are all flying down for the game also.I'm an Eagles fan.

Uh no.  I didn't go there for football.  I don't think I paid attention to it before I got there.  Yeah... the Cyclones are not predicted to be any good this year either.  Oops.

Soon-to-be-Mrs Vogt - Why do you hate OSU?  Just curious as to why everyone hates them.  I was born and raised in Columbus, so the craziness that is Ohio State has been instilled in me since birth.  I think I'm a nice fan.  I just want to understand why all of America hates OSU.

I get into PennState a little bit, but that's about it for liking football.  I'm not that much of a fan. But I do get excited for when the games start because I get to make all kinds of appitizers and dips for FI and his family.

Stackeye, OSU sucks because they are annoying, and quite possibly the worst fans I've ever come across.  Seriously.  I never met one I liked.  And, I think it's hysterical that they get to bowl games and lose.  Constantly.

My school didn't have any teams, so I've jumped on the Florida State bandwagon since that is Fi's team and I've had to watch so many games

Stackeye, exactly what Amoro said. They are the rudest most obnoxious fans in the world and a seriously cocky program. And really, it's undeserved. They play in the Big 10 for crying out loud. I'd love to see how they stood up in a whole season against teams that would actually give them a shot at a game. No offense to Amoro, because I hate MSU less than Michigan or OSU or Iowa, but the Big 10 is the most overrated conference in college football. It annoys me there is no championship game, especially since other conferences' games are included in the ratings. It also annoys me that a team like OSU can go an entire season with maybe 1 difficult (or at least semi-challenging game) and make it to a BCS game. And then if they win that game, they're suddenly the greatest team, when really they've won one or two games all season that make them competitive with other conferences that have real match-ups week after week.
