RSVP DATE?

I am an October 17th bride...any suggestions on the rsvp for my wedding?

Re: RSVP DATE?

  • WHEN DOES YOUR CATERER OR VENUE NEED A FINAL HEADCOUNT?  MAKE IT A WEEK OR TWO BEFORE THAT SO YOU HAVE TIME TO CALL THE JERKS THAT DIDN'T RSVP.And please don't yell.  It's rude.

  • We did out RSVP date for a month ahead of time.

  • Also pay attention to the room block deadline.

  • Agreed, Ricks. We're 10.24 and did ours for 09.24.
  • We had a May 30 wedding. RSVP date was May 12. That gave us time to track down non-RSVPers and get our final head count to our venue a week before the wedding.

  • Our room block deadline is a month before the wedding and caterer needs a count three weeks before RSVP date is one month before so that we have a week to call guests before count is due and to coincide with the room block deadline

  • Our caterer needed final numbers two weeks prior, so the RSVP deadline was 3 weeks prior (June 26th for July 18th wedding).
  • Ditto PP... it depends on when your caterer needs the final number. Just don't do it TOO early, some aren't going to know 1 month plus in advance if they can make it or not. Our reception place only needs the final head count 4 business days prior (12/27 for a 1/2 wedding). Our RSVP date is 12/14 so that gives us 2 weeks to track down the non-responders.
