Today was J's step-mom's funeral. After the services a few of us went back to the his dad's house. While we were there, J's dad handed us the RSVP and said "It'll save you a trip to the mailbox". He filled it out right in front of us. For one. I'm sure it was hard for him to do, and I felt so bad

Thanks, guys. It was a very emotional day. Even though it was hard for him to do, maybe it was good in helping him along in the healing process.

I'm really sorry for his family.  I'm going to feel awful when we send an invitation to my FI's mom.  She recently lost her husband.
