  • Luckily, mine was a fully functional human being.

  • my husband STILL has no clue which channel is which on the television.  after 3 years together, I still have to tell him which channel SPIKE tv is!
  • ...hold a conversation if his life depended on it. That was 9 years ago and he's much more social now.

When i moved in with my husband he thought the only way you cooked eggs was in the microwave.
  • Eat a plate of food in small bites. He still can't sometimes, but he's getting better. I've had dinner with his family and, unfortunately, it's ingrained and hereditary. I feel fortunate to at least see progress.

  • You can cook eggs in the microwave?! He couldn't fathom ever having a cat.  Now that we have one, he thinks she's our child.

Everything the light touches is my kingdom.
  • ...open the car for me. He had this junky old minivan and the driver's side door was busted, so he had to crawl across the passenger seat before I got in.
  • Let his food touch, or eat multiple items with the same utensil. He still can't.

If I wanted to hear the pitter-patter of little feet, I'd put shoes on the cat. image

  • Gosh I can't really think of anything. He couldn't quit smoking cigarettes until I told him to. Does that count?
Oh no we dropped the groom!! imagePlanning Bio UPDATED
  • Eat: yogurt, oatmeal, strawberry smoothies, enchiladas, oatmeal cookies Didn't have a credit card. He didn't believe in using a credit card if he could pay for it outright.
  • Try new foods. Its still a huge struggle but he has tried creamcheese, salad and carrots...
  • Nebb-Egg's in the microwave???  huh??Please explain that
  • MissSarah- Your H sounds a lot like T. He barely eats anything outside of pizza, chicken, turkey, potatoes and cereal
  • Sarah - DH doesn't have a CC either. I've tried to convince him to get one, but he doesn't seem to have much interest.

  • Nda - Hahaha. Your FI sounds just like me, minus the pizza and add cake.

  • Remember my name. He's horrible at remembering names. He finally got it the 2nd or 3rd time we hung out together. I tease him that it's no wonder it took me months to agree to date him considering he couldn't even remember my name!
  • remember to call when he's working late...and he still can't.I just called him because he was supposed to get off an hour ago, apparently he's "playing on the forklift". I don't even want to know...
  • Yea, he's ridiculous his mom never made him try anything and now he still wont. He's the pickiest eater I have ever met. We had an argument once because he flat out refused to even TRY cream cheese which he'd never had before...yet cheesecake is one of his top 5 foods.
  • Tim has a few CCs now and he uses them all the time and just pays them off in full. Actually, I pay them off, with his money. I don't think he's ever paid a bill, it's always been his $$$, but he's never made the payment.
  • GG & Sarah, Pete was the same was with credit. He thought he was being smart by only paying for things outright. He did this with everything, including his car. When we first met with a lender back in January I found out he literally had absolutely no credit history. Now he has a credit card, he hates it, but at least he has a credit score.

  • Lpstl - DH has a pretty good credit score, better than mine and I have a CC. He took out a loan to pay for his car 3 years ago and slowly built credit with that. Since he paid off the car, his score has plateaued.

Yeah the first time I made scrambled eggs in a pan he was astonished - his mother always made scrambled eggs in the microwave. I dont even KNOW how its possible, but thats the only way he ever ate them. His mother lives by cooking in the microwave or premade oven meals so thats why.
  • Ew yeah, you can cook them in the microwave I think by just putting em in a bowl and nuking it. I've not tried it but it seems disgusting

Yeah, he has not since eaten eggs like that. I think its disgusting to cook something entirely in the microwave.
  • He could not dress himself (unless wearing the same 90's pleated pants to work all week with hideous shirts counts)or cook anything other than a hot pocket. I honestly dont know how he survived.
  • Use the stove on any temperature other than "High." Honestly he still has problems with that. But he's come to embrace the Simmer.

Hahah that last one reminds me of when I moved in with my husband (then boyfriend). He had a hot plate parked on his stove because he claimed none of the burners worked, when you turned them on high nothing happened. I put up with that for a month and got fed up and called the landlord and got the maintenance man to come look at it. Turns out the knobs were backwards and high was actually low - never once did my husband try turning the knob anyway but high so he never figured this out. He lived in that apartment for a year before I moved in.
  • DH couldn't whistle and he would use a toothpick to tell if cookies were done.

Repeat this to your self: My Wedding Party is made of my family and friends and I should treat them as such.
  • When I met FI he couldn't (wouldn't) eat any veggies. Just steak and frozen french fries. Luckily he has become a better man and we eat a vegetable (or two) with every meal. He actually thanks me at least once a month for pushing him to be healthier.
