is there anybody out there

I was planning on writing the rest of our ceremony tonight, but instead I drunk a few glasses wines whilst on the phone (in my defence, talking mostly about the wedding) and now am far too tipsy (ahem) to attempt vows. Surely someone has to be awake and knotting on your side of the world?

Re: is there anybody out there

  • Why hello there! Apparently I passed out around 930 EST and now I'm up. Early. On a Saturday. :P How are you, Miss Tipsy?
  • Hello hello! Now that I finally got the 'reply' button to appear, I can't remember what I was replying to anymore, haha. I am quite well, what about yourself?I've managed to begin our vows despite the alcohol consumption... somewhat surprising given how many times I've had to use the backspace key whilst attempting to type this reply! I believe that some re-reading tomorrow might be a good idea!
  • HAHAHAHAHA! That's funny. I wrote our vows early, just to get them out of the way. I'm usually a HUGE procrastinator, but one night started researching vows and was able to knock 'em out rather quickly. I wrote the whole ceremony, actually. So good luck with that :P
  • well, I've already done the rest up until the vows, so perhaps I'll go ok.. but I have hit 9pm, and motivation/concentration is waning, so I'll have to see what I can do. What are you up to today?
  • Sco, you have the weirdest sleeping patterns. We;re going to be heading out to the pool here in a little bit.  Yeah!
  • Hopefully nothing! Yesterday we had a long day full of travel and emotions. I'm still beat! Today I'd rather not do anything except sit on my butt and relax. And do some chores around the apt. J says his friend is coming over, but we'll see. I am secretly hoping he doesn't show, just so J & I can relax. It's been really hectic lately and we haven't had a weekend day just to ourselves in I don't know how long. Oh! And we got our flavored honey stick samples in yesterday so we will be tasting those to see which flavors we want to hand out as favors at the reception. I would ask what you are doing, but we already know that. :P
  • HAH! Amoro! I woke up at 630 because apparently I passed out at 930 reading People in my bed. Yesterday I was up and out of the house by 7, to travel over an hour away to do funeral stuff, then hang with his family, then drive over an hour back, to then do dinner with his mom at our apt, and she didn't leave till 3 hrs after she got there. And she wanted me to help her write up some stuff regarding a court case she's involved in. Too many emotions used up and too much thinking. It was an exhausting day!
  • What's the temp like over there at the moment, amoro?btw, personally i find nothing wrong with 9pm bedtime and waking up at 6 (rather unsurprisingly given that FI and I do this every day).
  • honey sticks sound very promising, but what on earth are they? Lollypops? Drink stirrers? something else?
  • It is currently 30 (86) with an expected temperature of 35 (90).  Though, it feels worse because the humidity is pretty high.  I'm actually happy we haven't got anything to do today except hang out with our friend. :)  I really need to get around.
  • Honey sticks are biodegradable straws filled with honey. You bite (or pinch) open one end (both ends are sealed) and then squeeze the honey into your mouth. Or you can use them for your coffee or tea, in a smoothies, on cereal, toast, muffins, rice, cake, pudding, ice cream - anywhere you want/need a teaspoon of sweet. And they only have 20 calories each!
  • and hey scoetto, just because I have already stated I'm drunk (ok, I'll admit it!) and writing vows doesn't mean there's no mystery left. My night is full of random amazing exciting awesome stuff, I'll have you know!eg. FI and I just demonstrated exactly why we are made for each other. We were talking about a friend's wedding that we went to in the UK last year, and how the groom was having tea in the morning to calm his nerves rather than beer, as we'd usually offer here. Fi said, 'there's nothing alcohol can't solve', and we then jinxed each other exclaiming, 'except alcoholism!' and collapsing into a fit of laughter together. We have such a deep connection!`
  • Ha! Sun you are too cute. My favorite quote is from Homer Simpson "Alcohol. The cause of - and solution to - all life's problems".
  • Amoro, I am so happy to finally read temps where I don't have to go to the conversion page to understand! It was 28 yesterday and will be 30 tomorrow, and it is still winter here (admittedly rather hot for winter, and I am growing somewhat concerned about what the temp will be come September- our wedding).
  • (and despite the warmth during the day, I'm sitting in front of our fireplace right now- it does get somewhat cool in the evenings here though, I would guess the temp outside is about 8 degrees).
  • sun - I know you're not around, but shanwalk had 3 sets of awesome vows in her bio.  We used one of her sets and it's in my bio, along with our whole ceremony (stolen and combined shan's and larissa's).  GL!
