I posted a few days ago about issues with my wedding dress--which just came in to the bridal boutique I ordered it from (6 months ago), on Friday. I went into the store yesterday with my FI--I think he was more pisssed than I was. It turns out that they "vanity size" all of their dresses because "brides complain about the sizes not being their street size--and cause the shop to lose sales." Whatever..So I ordered a size four--but it was really a size 8. No big deal. But--the kicker is, they cut the tags out of my dress. They do this with all of their samples so that brides don't leave and purchase the dresses online. However, my dress was clearly not a sample--and they removed all identification from the gown: they took out the designer label from inside the dress, and removed the designer tags from the outside as well. I suppose I wouldn't care--I originally planned on buying the sample as they offered 10% off if I did. But, I paid the extra $$ to get a brand new dress with the tags--just incase I wanted to sell it afterwards. They claim they can sew the tags back in--but, they could have done that to the sample, and I would have saved myself $200. FI wants then to either refund my money, or order me a brand new dress. I'm unsure of what to do--mainly because I'm so upset. So...again, I turn to you wonderful ladies for advice. Any suggestions??
