What is the Etiquette?

There is nothing wrong with getting married on Sept. 11th.   People get married on the day the atomic bomb was dropped, pearl harbor was bombed, Kennedy died, etc etc.  On Sept. 11th 2001 a tragedy occurred.  Doesnt mean the world has to stop every Sept 11th.

I think the groom should get his own banner that says "I'm standing here." DED

I teach 14 year olds.  I cannot imagine any of my boys wanting to carry a banner down the aisle announcing the bride. If you still think this is a good idea (after reading all of our opinions) then at least ask him first.  Perhaps he'll say that he would like to do it. . . but I doubt it.
