rude guest text message

My "aunt" sent me this little gem this morning.... "Am I allowed to bring a date to the wedding? Maybe just brunch if not the wedding? Not even sure if he can make it." I already told her that she couldn't bring one. Her ex and her always try to "one up" each other. I sat her with her son to keep her company. The wedding is 2 weeks away. So rude.

  • I might want to add that the guy that she was trying to bring/convince me to bring is a felon. At least, that's what she told me. lol

  • Yeah, no. What is it about aunts that at least 2/3 of them out there are BSC?
  • Goes to show that even darling Aunts can be rude.
  • BGB, right? You'd think that they'd be the ones who KNEW the etiquette rules.

  • Well at least she asked- I have three people already now who have taken it upon themselves to RSVP for themselves as well as a guest when a guest not even invited....  grrr.
  • Ooooo!! Pick ME!!My aunt FLIPPED out on my mother for assuming she could bring her bf (who she lives with BTW). And sat me down and had one of those even-though-this-is-your- wedding-I'm-making-the-rules speeches where she informed me that I was not obligated to let ANYONE bring a date. A little while later she found out I was inviting her ex-husband (who my fiance and I are actually really close to, and who has already been asked not to bring a date just to keep the peace). Now guess who's INSISTING they get to bring a date.....ya awesome.
