Red nose and makeup trial

My allergies blew up yesterday. They were so bad, I felt sick. My nose is completely swollen, red and raw today and I have my makeup/hair trial tomorrow. Any suggestions on what to do for the nose? I'm afraid to use vaseline. I dont want to break out. I would reschedule, but I'm not going to have any time between now and the wedding.

Cortisone cream?  Anything that says it will take away redness and swelling?

Never thought about cortisone/benadryl cream. oh god, thats going to burn...

nah, the Cortisone shouldn't burn.  Don't know about the benadryl cream.

It may sound gross, but I wonder if PrepH cream would work?  It works on pimples and undereye bags, to reduce swelling.

For swelling, you could probably just use a good old ice pack or bag of frozen peas.  I wouldn't worry about the redness too much.  The makeup they do should cover that up.

The less you put on it, the better. Do NOT use vaseline. It sounds weird, but alternate cotton balls soaked in visine (yes, the anti-redness drops) and cotton balls soaked in cold milk. It'll take down the redness and calm the swelling somewhat.
