So, our dating anniversary is in November and I just got an email from Fairmont listing a bunch of sweet deals they have for the month of October and September.  Should I book a night away in October to the mountains (1.5 hours away)?Or just wait and hope for an equally good deal for our wedding anniversary in January?

I would book a night away for October and then make plans for your anniversary later when it comes closer.

Sounds like a fun trip! Just do it.Out of curiosity, do you celebrate dating AND wedding anniversaries?I've always wondered if people did both or dropped the dating one just because.

Would you just do something low-key in January then?  I think for your first wedding anniversary you'll want to do something pretty special, so I wouldn't want the October trip to trump that.  But maybe that's just me being cheesy and lame.

I'd do it now and have it nothing to do with the Anniversary.  Who says you can't travel just because!?

We got married on our dating anniversary, so we can kill two birds with one stone. I'd say book in October AND January!! If it's a place you love, then go every chance you get.  We're taking a "mini-trip" to St Augustine in Oct just because, and we're going on a 7-day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean (as of this morning) for our anniversay in the spring.

We haven't decided really.  We like any excuse to go out for a nice dinner or to crack open a nice bottle of wine at home.  This year our dating anniversary is on a saturday so I'm sure we'll go see a movie or something low key. We're taking vacation in February so the weekend getaway in January would be somewhere close and cheap.

If you will be short on money/time in January for the big anniversary I'd wait and just book one trip.

Haha Moose!  I am really really good with dates and phone numbers.Really.  I met Mike a day after Remembrance Day and then we became an official couple just over 2 weeks later.

I think I met FI in August, but I'm not sure.  There was no "official" unless you count the engagement.  LOL
