UGH. Good/bad day.

So, this morning FI was off - he was closing at work tonight.  So we went and signed the lease on the townhouse where we're gonna be living!  Yay.  We are very excited.FI drops me off at my house and goes home to get ready for a job interview before he goes into work tonight.  Fifteen minutes later, I get a call... "MY F*CKING HOUSE WAS BROKEN INTO."  All of our stuff we had been storing for our soon-to-be-house was there.  All Clad, some furniture, dishes, Christmas china, etc.  Electronics (PS3, Wii, etc.)Worst. day. ever.Yet, it was good because we know where we're going to be living. How was YOUR day?

Re: UGH. Good/bad day.

  • Oh no! So, was everything of yours taken?? Sorry to hear about that, but congrats on signing a lease. Are you still in the Nashville area?My day was uneventful. I got a call for a job interview and set one up for next Wednesday, but other than that it was pretty typical and boring.

  • Wow, that's awful! I'd be so pissed! Is everything gone? I'm really sorry to hear that happened to you.
  • I'm so sorry that happened to you! That's awful. Did they take all of that stuff? They would have had to have a truck or something. Bless your heart! My day was okay. My little guy got sick at daycare. I picked him up and took him to the dr. While there, he informed me that he has "slime flu", the dr. disagrees. FI left at 5:00 am  for Indiana. He's going to a Notre Dame game. I miss him already.
  • gg- congrats on getting a job interview! GL
  • Yuck, that sucks.Congrats gg!  Good: I got my wedding shoes!  (pics on blog)Bad: Bar results on Tuesday.  And my legs hurt.

  • Congrats, gg!Bad news: Wii, HDTV, PS3 & games, etc. are gone.Good news: Noone was home.FI's mom is unemployed right now, so she had left about an hour prior to go get FI and I a shower gift for my shower tonight (quite a day, huh!)  She was only gone an hour when FI got home.  The douchebags would have had to have been watching the d@mn house to know when no one was home.  It scares me to death.FI has a gun safe, too, which they tried to break into.  They also went upstairs, stole a laptop, TV, etc.  They actually took ALL of the mattresses off the beds to see if they could find any guns... um, no, they're in the gun safe.  Thank GOD no one was hurt and FI's mom wasn't home at the time...I don't know what all of our All Clad and house stuff was taken or ruined yet, because I had to leave to go to my shower tonight... which I am leaving for now.Sorry to post & run!
  • & Brie, I'm sure you did great on the exam! All of that studying you did had to have paid off!

  • Oh no.. that is terrible. My day:  I had physical/annual today.  Loads of fun.  I joked to DH that I got felt up today. They took blood also. I have a mammogram and ultrasound scheduled for later this month.   It's just great getting old.We are under a tropical storm watch.  So yesterday we had to secure our boat and cancel all of our trips.  They secured all the beach chairs at the hotel.  Well wouldn't you know it today was BEAUTIFUL.  Not a drop of rain and little wind.   Such a waste.  We better get some rain tonight or I'm going to be pissed at all the work we did for nothing.  It's the 3rd time in 2 weeks we have had to secure the boat for nothing.

  • lynda - can we trade lives?
  • I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope you guys are filing a police report. And ditto whoever said to check craigslist, they've caught people that way.Brie - yay for shoes! those are SO pretty :)
  • Well, thank goodness no one was home. And thank goodness for that gun safe. I'd like DH to get one someday.

  • lynda - can we trade lives? Sorry, I kind of like my life. Even though I'm out of work for 6 weeks now (without pay).  btw - You should see the sky right now, it s beautiful.  I would take a picture but our camera broke at the DMB concert.  I can't help but wonder where this storm is?
