boobs

I'm a little bit in awe of mine right now. I have been wearing a 36C for a while. I knew it wasn't an exact fit, or I just wasn't in the right brands, or something. Today I went to a specialty shop with fitters that know what they're doing and holy mother of god... what a difference. I am not a 36C. Not even close. I am a 32DDD. I feed badly for what I have done to my boobs over the last several years. I'm going to make it up by only wearing these amazing bras from now on.

Re: boobs

  • Holy crap that's a big difference!Maybe I should get mine measured... I'm just too afraid I'll have to then pay at least $75 per bra, and I'm not prepared for that.

  • I found some pretty affrodable bras. One was $55 and the other was $45. I would absoultely pay $75 for a good fitting bra, now that I know the difference.
  • Oh my...I was an A cup until I went on birth control, then I magically became a C cup. Looking back I wonder if I really was simply growing into a C cup and was still stuffing them into A/B's because I was in denial.I guess we'll see in a week when the birth control boob job goes away!
  • Oh wow, huge difference. When you said you've been wearing a 36C my thought was "no way, she's bigger than that!" I'm a small 36C, you're definitely fuller than I am. I'm sure the ladies will appreciate their fancy new home.

  • I have a birth control boob job too. DH called them the 'magic pills' when I first started them when I was 19 and a small B.
  • Katie- I had hoped BC would do the same for me but instead it just turned from a barely A into a small A haha. Shan- Thats crazy! Whats your H think?
  • well, seeing as though my boob size didn't change today - DH is not concerned. I told him about the differences in fit... and nodded and said 'i'm glad it fits'. I buy bras, he watches football. It's a happy day in our household.
  • I have a sneaking suspicion that my boobs are much bigger than I think they are.  I am afraid to go to a fitter because I don't even want to know.I have a friend who thought she was a DD...she cried when the fitter told her she was an F.
  • Do you go to Cacique?  I started going there when I hit D (I'm a 40DD) and they have inexpensive bras for larger sizes.ALSO, they have tons of sales like buy one, get one half off or free, so I always go then.  I spent like $100 for four bras -- not bad at all.

  • my poor little sister was an "I" before her reduction. I was shocked at first - but as soon as I saw how much better they fit, I didn't care.
  • Never heard of Casique. I'm in Austin and went to a place called petticoat fair.
  • Mine have shrunk and I don't want them measured for that reason! haha. I spent yesterday searching for a bra for under my dress with little luck. I think I need a strapless given that the dress is open on the top, but couldn't find anything that felt at all comfortable. Sigh.
  • Cacique is the lingerie store of Lane Bryant.  I think it only does like...C and larger.  It's great.  The bras fit fantastically, and they're cute bras, too...not boring or old-ladyish.

  • I was wearing the wrong size for years as well.  I went into Fredericks one day and the lady asked me if I had ever been measured.  When she told me the size, I about fell out.  I was wearing a D and she told me I was an F.  Ugh.  They do have some really cute bras for bigger sizes there, though, and they have an awesome online catalog.  They also have one of the bra clubs where you buy so many and then you get one free, plus they are almost always buy one get one half off.  Congrats on the wonderful new fit.  :-)
  • After my reduction in Feb I was improperly fitted at a 36D... I'm a 38D it makes a difference

  • a 36C and a 32DDD (or 32F) are actually very similar in cup size, just obviously not band size.  cup sizes change with band sizes, so a "C" is a bigger volume (cup) the bigger your band size gets.  i used to wear a 34G.  a reduction brought me down to a 34Eand i'm hoping that when i get serious about losing weight i'll go down to at least a D, maybe even a C.  anyway, yay for properly fitting bras!!  you do have a fabulous rack!

  • I was wearing a 38F for the longest time and it felt really good. I was having some back issues though so my doctor recommended that I have a fitting and low and behold I'm a 36FF or 34G depending on the brand and style.I can't wait until I have enough documentation saying its a medical condition and causing back pain so I can have a reduction.
