So, Mark and I are celebrating our 6 year dating anniversary this weekend, 10 days after our DA is the one year anniversary of our engagement (I still can't believe it!). I have NO idea what to get him. He is seriously difficult to shop for. Any ideas?I know, I know...you can't tell me what he might like, but I'm just looking for some place to start. TIA.

I'm such a sap that I would make a photo album of memories we shared to give to him.  I did that once for an old boyfriend and then left a few pages at the end empty for "the memories we have yet to share".  Yeah it was cute.  I even wrote all over little pieces of paper different memories and sayings that we had and glued them all over the cover of the album.  He really liked it.

Tickets to a sporting event or concert? Any electronics he's been eying? Any movies or books? DH loves when I just get him a crap load of $5 movies from Target or Blockbuster.  We have a movie problem.A movie poster for his favorite movie? Those can get pricey for originals though.

he's such a finniky turd. Dukey, I did that last year for our 5 year anniversary. He really enjoyed that, actually. He's always printing photos that he wants in there. I'd like to take him to the lodge for the weekend, but he thinks he's going to have to work...ugh, I'm sure something will come to me.

dirt bikes, snowmobiling, quadding, seadooing, and his old car. We're planning on renovating our basement this winter. I'm trying to think of what I could get him to put in the bar... He does want to put tile as our countertop and epoxy over it. I thought of getting 4 or so pictures of his old car made in to tiles at WalMart and we can add those in the bar. Or maybe one tile of his car, one of his dirt bike, one of his quad, and one of his snowmobile. It just doesn't really seem like "enough".

You could get him a few bottles of high end booze for the bar.  To start its growth or something.  Or glasses of some kind.

Any gear that needs replacing?  Maybe one of them booze dispenser spinners, I think I saw one at BB&B, holds the bottle upside down and measures out a shot.  Maybe a drink recipes book.  Some knick knacky type things with his favorite booze logo.  I like the tile idea, or maybe frame the four pictures.

Why I still have this memorized I do not know but 6th anniversary tradtional gift is iron  so how about something iron or a golf iron

I sometimes think life would be easier if he was a golfer. We never golf. I like the booze dispenser idea.

You could make Salty Peanut's coasters with a bar logo for him. Create a logo for his bar! Buy some glassware and liquor and you're done.

Bec - generally, I'm pretty creative, but do you of anywhere I can look for inspiration for creating a bar logo? Google isn't helping much, but I might not be searching the right words either.

Personalized bar towels.   (that wasn't my original forgotten thought)A neon light of some kind.  Hit up your local BP's and ask them when they plan on re-decorating.  The one I worked at sold a bunch of their neon crap in an auction.New barstools?Damn I wish I could remember my original thought.  I hate that.

BPs redecorated last winter. We went to their auction, but because proceeds went to charity, everything went REALLY high. Barstools is a good idea...we haven't reno'd down there yet though, so I think I'd like to wait until we have a better idea for space, etc.

My DH and I must be lame-o, because we've never gotten each other gifts for our dating anniversaries.  Now that we're married, I'm sure we'll get each other wedding anniversary gifts, though.

I think I am going to get my H a ski membership for our dating anniversary.  The only reason why (we don't do gifts usually) is because I have to get it early in the season to make it worth it, ya know?  So, our dating anniversary is in November...
