Motivation

I'm working on a project and have been tasked with finding new ways to motivate our work force. So....What motivates you at work? If you are currently not motivated, what would motivate you besides $ or job security?

Re: Motivation

  • i would deff say recognition from supervisors as well as coworkers. I had a really horrible night at work a few weeks ago... i left feeling absolutely worn down with the amount of work.. worried that i was doing things wrong (since i was doing jobs i wasn't really trained for) and just feeling really crappy. The next night one of the supervisors (not even MY superviser, but one from another department) came up to me and said he was really proud of how well i handled everything that was thrown at me and that i did a really good job considering the circumstances. That really made my day, and made me feel good about my work.
and i thought i loved you then <3<a href="http://daisypath.com/">Daisypath Anniversary tickersBaby Birthday Ticker Ticker

  • I think different people like to be recognized in different ways, privately, publicly, etc.  It takes a good manager to know those preferences.
