NWR: baby shower help

So, I'm planning a couples BBQ baby shower for a BM and a GM. They both just informed us that they would like games. Yuck. Anyway, anyone know of any non-lame games that they could do? I thought about doing something where I ask them both questions about their daughter to be/parenting (e.g., at what age can she date) but I would need funnier questions Sigh..........

  • A friend of mine did a great bridal shower game:They made up little necklaces with various off-limits words that were all wedding related.  If someone caught you saying any of the off-limits words, they took all necklaces you were currently holding.  The person with the most necklaces at the end of the party won a small prize.I really liked it, actually.  If you didn't care about the game, you didn't have to play, and it encouraged the conversation to go in different directions.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I have a spinoff version of aerin's game that we played at my sister's baby shower. You make necklaces for each guest out of yarn (we used yellow, the color of the baby's room) and hook 7-10 safety pins on them. Throughout the baby shower, if anyone says the word "baby," the first person to catch it gets one of that person's safety pins. By the end of the shower, whoever has the most safety pins gets a prize! It was actually fun, and you don't realize how much people say "baby" until you play the game. We also played baby bingo, but that's because my sister loves bingo.

  • Get some twine and pass it around for everyone to cut a piece they think is big enough to wrap around mom-to-be's belly.  Whoever is closest to her actual belly size wins.  The twine is a great momento for mom-to-be.I like the question game too.
  • For a co-worker's shower, I bought cheap plain newborn onesies and some fabric paint in different colors.  Everyone had a lot of fun decorating the onesies for the baby.
Holy Crap. We survived the first year!
