Re: Crazy Celeb Baby Names

  • hahahha and if you could only picture it next to our super jewish last name it would be that more hilarious.it is my one huge flameworthy thing :)
  • I was disappointed in Sparrow too, since I like Harlow.  Sparrow is NOT a boy's name and it doesn't sound unisex to me.  They just needed a manly bird name, like Falcon or Pelican :).
  • M,FI is dead-set on Danger as a middle name if we ever have a boy...
  • I did like Piper for a name....but that could go horribly wrong in the future.

  • Maverick? It's different. I'll give it a 6 or 7. My favorite story about baby names on here is theSun's FI wanting to name their future kid Voltron.

  • no way Jill. I love it.It is so funny because we are realllly traditional people. Just look at my wedding, or my wedding advice. When it come sot kids names we are looking at Maverick, Harrison, Minnie (really Mary after my mom) and Lily. Well, I guess Lily is not bad but for our family it is weird to name outside the family.
  • i like the affleck kids' names.
  • Daff - Violet? That's at the top of my list. I really like it.

  • Jill I actually know someone who's middle name is danger.  I thought it was dan Ger with a "g" sound like gerber.  He's kind of a badasss so it suits him :)My favorite celeb wtf name is Banjo. Nice choice there Rachel Griffiths.  Your kid is destined to be in rehab earlier than Drew Barrymore was.
  • I agree that Maverick is a little out there--is there a story behind it?  It's a 7 or 8, it isn't Jermajesty or anything :)My SIL's step-sister has a son named Anakin.  WTF people. My first born will be named Optimus Prime.
  • FI and I have actually discussed baby names and I love Maverick but want it as a middle name. He wants to name his first son Jackson. So Jackson Maverick with a very Italian last name? I will try to sell him on it over the next few years. And I agree Sparrow is way lame.
  • Honestly, we have no great reason behind it. One day we were discussing our friend's name 'Sebastien Moneymaker' and we were like, "there is a name you will never forget." We started brainstorming crazy names and kind of puked in mouth at most of them except Maverick. We like the sound of Meg, Mike, Minnie and Mav as our little family.Mike has a very Jewish last name even though he isn't Jewish so it is kind of hard to forget in any respect. We will see what really happens in 3-5 years, but right now Maverick tops the list.
  • I almost used "Maximus" as my son's middle name... ended up going w/ Maxwell for the official paperwork, but I still call him Maximus sometimes just to make him giggle.

  • Didn't someone name their kid Apple?I have two tests for any out-there names:1) Does the kid have an option for a completely normal nickname?  Middle names count.2) If you put the words "Chief Justice" in front of it, does it sound completely ridiculous? If it's yes to the first and no to the second, then it's fine.  Maverick could go by "Rick," so I think it passes.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • FI is dead-set on Danger as a middle name if we ever have a boy...Then he can walk around saying, "Danger's my middle name."  Make sure he can do the English accent, too.

  • Haha, yeah, I think that's what he's going for. He found out that his college roommate's (who was BSC) middle name was Danger, and he's been stuck on it ever since. I sort of like it though...
  • So far, the worst I've seen is someone over on the bump.  Anastasia, Aurora (I think she went with a Disney theme) and Anekin for the boy, as in Anekin Skywalker.  Major puke.Sparrow and Harlow seem like a bite off of the Jolie-Pitt clan.  They name all their boys ending in X.  Wonder what they'll come up with next.
  • Audrey, I know a guy who legally changed his first name to Maximus.  Seriously.
  • My husband met a litte baby ast week in Long Beach who was named Cruz, and he is totally in love with the name.  I actually really love it too.  His nephews name is Blaze  and I love the z sound, and it is Latin which he likes. He is so excited and wants to ame the baby Cruz David, after his and his dads name.  I started thinking it looked familiar and googed it.  It is David Beckhams kids name.So I guess it is kind of cheesy but we both love it and he came up with it before h knew it was a celebrity name.
