Envelope question

I searched for this one and came up empty, so forgive me if this is a repeater.. Does anyone know if it costs extra to mail an A2 envelope. It fits within the dimensions of a "letter" for USPS and it's not square but I also found a wedding bee board where they insisted it required extra postage. Call me lazy, but I really don't want to waste time and gas to go to the post office to find out Thanks!

Thanks Butta.. but that's how I found out it fit within the definition of a letter. I just want to be sure it's not a completely odd size.

I'd answer, but I'm too lazy to find out the dimensions and shape of an A2 envelope.

I took one of mine in last week and they said normal postage.  I was worried about weight, not size, but she had no issues.  Plus, that's the same size as all my notecards have been for years, and they've never required extra postage.  I think it's safe.
