Do you ever feel like you are too social?

I do right now. Last night was our fantasy football draft... at a bar of course.  Drank too much.Tonight we have dinner party to go to.  I've never actually met these people before.  But they eat at DH's restaurant all the time (like 1-3 times a week) so we really need to go.  She is cooking Korean food.  Which by the way I have know idea what Korean food even is and I'm a somewhat picky eater.  Should be interestingFriday is our friend's birthday and 8 of us are going to dinner at DH's sushi restaurant.Saturday is another friend's birthday and we are going to Vieques (Puerto Rico) for the daySunday is football of course.  All of our teams are playing at 1pm so of course we will be at the bar to watch the games. Our favorite bar as 9 football TV feeds so we can all watch our teams at the same time.Ugh...  I'm tired just thinking about it.  I really just want to stay at home...

  • YES. I have too much going on 90 percent of the time.

  • Yes, I absolutely feel like there are times when I've been too social. I am a loner and need my 'me' time, with a balance of time with fam & friends.

  • Wow, Lynda!  You should ridiculously busy.  I completely understand you're feeling overwhelmed with that schedule.  FI and I have a very busy schedule as well.  As of today, we have something scheduled every weekend in October already, I think.  Hopefully you'll get your time at home soon.

  • Yeah this month is pretty loaded for me with football season and birthdays and few other things going on. December is the worst month though. I have to go to about 12 different work related Christmas parties. Christmas parties DO get old after awhile.

  • You had your FFB draft in a bar? And here I was on the crappy computer. Gotta suggest a bar next time.
  • I feel that way sometimes. Busy social schedules tend to stress me out. I'm an introvert, so I get re-energized by my alone time. If I don't have any, it wears me out.
  • Yes! I LIVE with my parents and my mom will text and ask me what my social calendar looks like or if I'll actually be home for dinner. I'm not sure how it got to be this way, but your life sounds like mine!  I think it also has to do with have different social circles.  Like, where not all my friends are necessarily friends with each other.
  • The only good thing is I'm not working right now.  My job is very social.  If I was working I would crack.

  • Oh and I hate people, so it is difficult for me to be around too many of them for long periods of time. True story.

  • I wouldn't be able to keep up with a schedule like that. I enjoy bumming around at home far too much.
  • I either end up doing way too much, or nothing at all. Example - this week, Monday I spent taking care of a sick Noodle, doing laundry, dishes, etc.  Tuesday night we went to dinner with friends, last night was my FF league draft after work until 8:30 at a bar, tonight is dinner with the fam and Noodle for my mom's birthday, tomorrow night is dinner with ANOTHER set of friends. Saturday and Sunday?  We are spending on the couch.
