Re: Pre-Wedding MUSIC

  • I listened to the radio. It worked great and each song was a surprise.

Wouldn't it be nice to live together in the kind of world where we belong?
  • I would mix it up.. Too many sappy and overly cutsey songs will get old quick. Incorporate into the playlist the Bride's favorite artists and songs and any music that has particular meaning or inside joke between the BMs and the Bride.
  • Boom Boom Pow.

  • whoa, that's a craptastic list. way to be ordinary and insipid.
  • That's too many wedding songs.  If I had to listen to that I probably would change my mind about getting married.

If I wanted to hear the pitter-patter of little feet, I'd put shoes on the cat. image

  • Just because White Wedding has wedding in the title doesn't make it about a wedding.  It is either about coke or heroin and the being high is the wedding day or something.  I don't recall off the top of my head.

  • OK, you can make fun of me all you want. But I actually gave my BMs engraved iPod shuffles (they were for my sisters...I engraved "sisters rock" on them) in their favorite colors. I loaded them up with 50 love songs. Here they are below. Now remember, my sisters are all older than me, in their late 30s-mid 40s, so I wanted to include stuff they would recognize and enjoy. Probably a quarter of the songs are on there b/c they represent some kind of inside joke we had growing up. I figured if they thought the songs were dumb they could just erase them, they'll still have an iPod, right? Here's the list if you're interested: Love, Love, Love August 8, 2009   1. Chapel of Love (The Dixie Cups) 2. Let's Stay Together (Al Green) 3. Wonderful Tonight (Eric Clapton) 4. You are the Sunshine of My Life (Stevie Wonder) 5. • If it's for the morning of, I'd choose more upbeat songs. Those are more fun to get ready to.
  • I would commit seppuku with your cake servers if I had to listen to all of that at once.  Our getting ready music will probably just be my Save Ferris channel on Pandora.  Nothing makes me happy and productive like ska.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
