Late 90's Flashback

Does anyone remember those GAP windbreakers that were all the rage in '96-'99ish (around here, at least)- they folded up into their own little bag and came in several "GAP" colors (red, blue, orange, green, gray)? I totally saw a lady wearing one of those at lunch and it made chuckle because I haven't seen one in years.

Sure do!We didn't have a Gap in our mall until 2000, but some folk drove into the "big city" to buy them.

I think it might have been my mom. She has a polka dotted one. I love her, but she looks like a douche when she wears it.

Not really but I'm a product of the 80's.  I remember Member's Only Jackets that EVERYONE had to have.   Sadly I had one also.

Members Only jackets made a comeback a few years ago among the hipsters.  My sister has one.  She paid a lot for it in a 2nd hand store.

In reference to the fleece - to this day, I STILL chant the damn song when I go buy fleece at Old Navy... I guess it served it's purpose!

Haha, those were great.  When I was in middle school, EVERYONE had one of those sweatshirts that just said GAP really big across it.  EVERYONE.

Me too.I had a pullover and a vest, but a girl I disliked also had the pullover, and a boy had the same vest.  Even though our closest Old Navy was an hour away, every had that stuff.

I fit into GAP kids stuff well beyond the age when you were supposed to, so I always was able to buy more cause they were less expensive!  I think my sisters and I each had 3 of those GAP hoodies!

Ah, yes, the Member's Only jackets. My first HS boyfriend had a couple of them. I managed to avoid that fashion.

I have my mom's old purplish-navy Member's Only jacket in my closet right now! Because you just never know when it might come in handy.
