My sister's BF's parents gave FI a wedding gift. I've never met them, but it was very sweet that they thought of us and went to thr trouble to find our registry and get us a gift. Obviously, I'm writing a thnak you, but I have a question. They signed the card with their first name, but it feels odd to address a thank you that way. Should I use Mr. and Mrs. Lastname instead? On the one hand I assume if they signed the card with their first names, they're fine being addressed that way, but considering it's people I don't know, I feel like it would be more respectful to go the Mr. and Mrs. route. What do you think?

I agree with you and would go with Mr. and Mrs.

I'd use their first names. That's the way they signed the card so obviously they're comfortable with that. If they thought they should be "Mr. and Mrs." to you, they would have signed their card that way.
