Yay for couple friends!

We have 2 couples we are close to (both of my hsband's best friends) and it has been an exciting week for them!Our married friends just found out they are expecting a baby on Wednesday, and our other friends finally got engaged on Tuesday.  Yay!We had been wondering when the other couple would get engaged.  They have been living together for 5 years and started talking marriage about 4 months ago.  They recently went to Laguna, picked a location, paid for a wedding planner, signed a contract for the band, and picked out their menu, and set a date.  All before she had the ring, haha.  I guess NEY is ok when it is a mature serious couple doing the planning together, but me and my husband were really confused for a while.

Yay for them!Definately no problem with planning before being "officially" engaged as long as both people know there is planning going on.  Although doesn't the proposal then seem a bit anticlimactic, like of course he'll ask, we just dropped thousands in deposits.

Aww, fun.  I can't wait for my friends (and sister, and FBIL/FSIL) to start having babies.I also love it when other couples get engaged now and I have good recs for them.  It makes me feel like all this planning nonsense is going to actually benefit people other than myself.

Yeah, I liked the surprise factor.  But it goes with their personalities.  They are both big planners, and not very mushy.  I am so stoked about their wedding...it sounds amazing already...they always have the best parties.

Oh mocha....I showed my husband the thread the other day where you were speaking his foreign car language.  I think he drooled a little.  He told me to tell you about his horsepower and torque and blablabla but I retained that information for about a third of a second.I think he loves you now.

Well, we'll just have to come out to Vegas again and we can all discuss the finer points of stilettos and torque over some fru fru umbrella drinks.  Aw shucks!

Hmm, I'm still going to do my fru fru drinks that I don't get out here much.  At least not where we go to drink.  But get me drunk and I'll be convinced I know everything, which is usually entertaining!
