Eyebrow Threading

FiI & I made a trip to the mall today for a random need for jeans (him, not me), and right outside of Banana Republic was an eyebrow waxing kiosk. FI took one look at the girl sitting down in the chair, freaked out, grabbed my arm and said "omg OMG! what are they DOING to her?!" She was having her eyebrow's threaded. FI was convinced this meant needles+thread=eyebrow threaded. I had never heard of this (aside from a mention of it on this weeks Next Top Model)--so I watched a youtube video on it--it seems super easy. Anyone ever heard of this/had it done!?

I've never had it done, but my bff gets it done all the time. She likes it.

My aunt has it done. She said its slightly painful but she loves it.

I've never had it done, but I heard its painful.I don't think I have the guts to do that out in the open.  I would like to have people think my eyebrows are naturally flawless.

I want to try to do it myself, but I'm afraid it would go horribly wrong and I'd end up missing an eyebrow ....

I tried doing my own eyebrows once...I ended up cutting my bangs so nobody could see the end result.

I have had it done and hated it.  It really hurts a lot.  I like waxing because it it faster.

I've never had it done. Plucking makes me sneeze, so I suspect threading would too. I'd rather just have them waxed and just have it all done in one moment.

I've been looking for a new henna artist, and I found one that also does eyebrow threading for pretty cheap.  I'm thinking of giving it a try.  I'm nervous about it, because I have sensitive skin; the one time I had my eyebrows waxed (at my mom's insistence), the top half of my face was red for several days.

I did some threading once on the sides of my face, and it ended up being really itchy and red for a few days after.  Totally not worth it.

I had never heard of it until I saw one bride getting it done on Bridezilla..it looked horrible! The best thing I ever did was get electrolosis on my eyebrows now I never have to worry about them! If I have a daughter someday I am totally doing it for her when she gets older! lol! One less thing to keep up with!

i prefer it to waxing, but usually just wax.it is not painful to me. give it a try.

I think that it's very popular in Indian culture.  I've had it done before.  It looks great but yes, it is more painful than wax or plucking.  It is EXTREMELY accurate, however.  The women who do it usually are very good at what they are doing.  Talk about clean lines!  I recommend it if you can take it.  They are very fast and it only take about 3-4 minutes per eyebrow.

I tried it once...I really prefer waxing, I think the threading hurts more.  And the more I thought about it, the threading really isn't very sanitary...think about it, that hold the string with their 2 hands and with their mouth.  They move the string around...open pores and string in mouth.  After I had that thought, I didn't try it again....grossed me out alittle
