Engagement Photo Session

Tomorrow we are having our engagement photo session at a local college - will have most of the shots taken outside. Just curious if anyone has any suggestions for these photos? I have my outfit picked out and I love it. I'm just mainly thinking of makeup. I have almost every kind of makeup in almost every color you can think of (I sell Mary Kay) but one thing I don't have that I wish I did have was a face primer that I have heard about? Something to help fill out lines and etc in the face. Anyway - any suggestions or tips? Thanks!! I appreciate all the help!

Re: Engagement Photo Session

  • The main key is that you should look like yourself. Don't overdo your makeup or wear something that isn't representative of YOU. You want your engagement photos to be natural - don't feel like you have to get into costume, or do lots of makeup unless that's what you normally wear. Our photog's advice to us:- DON'T match your clothes- Avoid whites or really pale colors - darks (grays, dark blues, blacks) look best- If you normally wear jeans and flip flops, wear jeans and flip flops. Feel free to get dressed up, but don't wear something you wouldn't normally wear. - Avoid huge patterns (big stripes, polka dots, etc.)- Be yourself
