Flower centerpieces

Can I make the centerpieces the day before, or is it best to do the day off?  I won't really have then.  Thanks.

Weren't you using silk flowers for your CPs? If so, I'd make them in advance - you'll probably be pretty busy the day of.

I would make the day before. A florist friend told me they make most of their arrangements the day before.

Day before.  Use flowers that are a bit closed, that way they'll open up nicely the day of.  Use a fridge that has NO vegetables or fruit in it, they give off gases that will wilt the roses.  Or a room that's cooler or where you can crank the a/c will work too.Tide did her own flowers, she's got info in her bio.  Or try to catch her when she's online.

What time of day is your wedding? If it's an evening wedding, you would probably have time to do them the day of. Morning? Probably best to do them the day before.

Do NOT store fruit near the flowers. Fruit releases ethylene gas (a plant hormone) which causes ripening to speed up. The flowers will wilt overnight (I've seen it happen before, tragically). If you put your flowers in a cooler or fridge, make sure it's for flowers only. But the day before will be fine.
