What are you dancing to? I like Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat, but FI isn't quite sold on it. This has been the hardest thing to decide so far. What is everyone else using?

We're dancing to At Last by Etta James.  Common song, but it's kind of been our song for years.

I really like Collide by Howie Day, my FI likes Belongs to You by Emerson DriveI really don't want to be on the dance floor long, so I am going to bring up the Adam Sandler song "Grow Old with You"  It's super short and to the point!

We are using "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys.It was between that and "Stay with You" by John Legend, but "God Only Knows" was shorter.

Sooles, I haven't been to a wedding in a while that had a BP dance, so you definitely can "get away" without having one, most people don't even miss them. As for father-daughter, we didn't do that either. The only specific dance was our first dance.

We still haven't picked, and we're actually having trouble agreeing on something.He's been pushing for Elvis's "Can't Help Falling In Love" or Jim Croce's "Time In Bottle". I like both, but friends of ours JUST used the Elvis song (Not that it SHOULD matter, and I know lots of people use pretty much every song, but I kind of want something nobody we KNOW has used) ... and "Time In A Bottle" is really kind of sad if you really listen to the words.My 2 faves are Ingrid Michelson's "The Way I Am"-which FI is insisting is "too fast" to dance to (I have no idea where this logic came from) and Lee Greenwood's "IOU"- which FI has no reason for not wanting other than "I just don't want that one".So I'm guessing we're going to stumble upon a "compromise" song, lol.

We are using I Need You by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.  It has alot of meaning to the two of us with some of the things that we have gone through as a couple, and it's just a great love song.  Also, I am pretty sure that not "everyone" has used it, because our DJ doesn't even have a copy.  LoL  That was also important to us.

We were supposed to dance to "Little Moments" by Brad Paisley, but our DJ didn't have the song on wedding day and we danced to "She's Everything" by Brad Paisley instead. Not our top choice, but it worked. I love the song "Lucky."

Le Ciel dans une Chambre by Carla Bruni. We looked, and looked, and looked, but found that one by accident. Luckily the lead singer of our group was a woman so they were able to learn it.

I wanted "Ever Since you Walked Into My Life" by New Kids on the Block, but he wanted "Amazed" by Lonestar, and he won.  Since we decided this months ago though, he suggested changing it, but w/o a suggestion. lolMy cousin who married 9/9/09 did "Better Together" which is really cute.  Actually the DJ said 'ok for the 1st dance, you need to stand up and participate, we are going to do the Macarena!" the song starts &  the B&G start the dance & we are like 'whaaaat?" then the DJ said 'just kidding!" My best friend did "Broken Road" since they had be on/off for 11 years before getting married!

We used "This Magic Moment" by The Drifters. It is an oldie but goodie. If we hadn't had that as 'our song' since pretty much night one of our relationship we would have used Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic."
