Magazines

What's your favorite?   Mine are Vogue and Metropolitan Home for light reading and The New Yorker for heavier content.

Re: Magazines

  • I subscribe to Shape.  I used to subscribe to Cosmo, but that got pretty lame after having a subscription for year.  It's the same shiit over and over.  I prefer to keep my magazine reading light.

Everything the light touches is my kingdom.
  • Harper's (yes, I'm left wing), the Atlantic, the Economist Sometimes Vogue or the New Yorker. I do most of my reading about fashion on line.
  • Sports Illustrated.  But I usually only read magazines at the gym.  I tend to go online for more news-related reading.
  • I quit buying magazines while we were saving for the wedding.  I haven't gotten back into the habit of buying them again, but I love Glamour, Marie Claire, and any home decorating magazines.

  • And may I just say that it's so weird that you mentioned this today because at lunch I decided that I was going to get my sister and MIL a mag subscription for their birthdays in October.I couldn't decide on which decorating one to get my MIL.  She loves HGTV so I thought it'd be a good idea.

  • Mandy, you don't need to buy them to read them.  I asked an assistant to request subscriptions for a lot of magazines I like and clients would be interested like finance, golf, luxury.  They send them for free.  You can do this for any office.
  • Mandy- hang out in Barnes and Noble.  Grab a drink at the starbucks and read your heart out :)I used to read the gossip mags but do that online now.  I also agree that Cosmo is the same crap. and it annoys me when 18 year olds are writing in with their sexcapades and experiences. I feel like they should still be reading Seventeen.
  • I don't even know. Buddy got some deal for free magazines and subscribed me to too many. In addition to Brides, Modern Bride and some other Bride thing, I get Cosmo, Glamour, Elle, Martha Stewart Living, Family Circle, Women's Health, Women's Day, US Weekly...... and Latina.Latiiiiiiina.
On bed rest since Groundhog's Day and every day since has been exactly the same.

  • Clean Eating, Runners World.  I'll look at Glamour on occassion for the do's and don'ts page in the back, but I don't generally buy it.  Also like Triathlete magazine until it became uber repetative.  Women's Health.
  • It isn't too good to be true, it is a form of advertising for magazines.
  • Macleans, Chatelaine, Esquire,  any decorating magazines christmas editions.
  • Conde Nast Traveler, Glamour, and Marie Claire are my favorite.

  • Vanity Fair is my #1
