Snug Harbor?

Hi Everyone -
Has anyone had their wedding or getting married at Snug Harbor in Staten Island? I live in Jersey City and it's about the same distance to Snug Harbor as it is to other banquet halls in Jersey and around the same price per person. If anyone has any feedback, I'd appreciate it.

It is gorgeous there, the grounds, the room; there are many photo ops. My fiancé and I looked at this venue when searching for a reception site (we're from Brooklyn). The contacts at snug harbor are some of the nicest people to deal with as well. The downfall for us was that we felt that for the price we were going to pay, we weren't getting that much food. Also the parking area looked small, unless there was another lot we didn't see. Hope this helps, good luck!

Well, I was really excited because they said their prices start at $75 but turns out that that's for a Friday daytime wedding. Saturdays are double. Boo.

We looked into Sung Harbor as well. Although the prices seem reasonable, once you look at the menu you'll see all the extras that need to be added on. Also, the provide valet parking with a fee, the more people you have, the more they charge. And if you want to get married on the grounds, it's about 5-10 dollars pp..that adds up. If these things don't bother you, then go for it, it was too much for me and turned me off.

Boo! Well I told the catering manager it was out of my budget and she didn't even offer to negotiate so oh well.
