I just got a frantic call from my mom. She and her best friend just saw Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson in Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Apparently their kid is going to college at the school she works at and they were buying him dorm stuff while my mom was out running errands.She says he's even handsomer in person and seemed very nice to the fans that were saying hi. She is way excited.

HOLY CRAP I'm only THREE DEGREES from Tom Hanks now!Seriously, I would have peed. PEED.And that story just goes to support the theory that there is no good reason to dislike Tom Hanks.

To add to this, TJ.The new movie, Lucky, that TH and Ann Margaret are filming right now is being filmed in my hometown. The house that they're using is next door to good friends of mine and my best friend's. My friend and I plan to stalk somehow before he leaves town. I'll try to get you a picture

It could be and likely is impossibly too much to ask, but if you could get a "HI TJ" picture for my collection, I would die. DIE. I will do my very best. I may have to bleech the lawn with "Hi TJ!" and then get him into the front yard somehow and quickly snap the picture.Though, I do think that would be a kickass picture

Last month or the month before, maybe, Ryan Gosling was filming in Scranton, PA. My sister met him twice. I have seethed ever since.

My BFF's brother and sister and bro in law were extras in The Dark Knight. I actually saw two of them in the movie. I didn't believe them until I saw them.

According to the student newspaper, he even took his kid on a college tour there last January, and popped into a film class to say, "Hope you're all having fun in here."Sigh. Dreamy. I like nice celebrities. NOT David Schwimmer. Jerk.

Yup, they do. About Schmitt is set in Omaha and most of it was taped here. Election was filmed here when I was in HS and a lot of drama friends were extras. They just finished taping a George Clooney movie downtown (maybe 3 months ago). This one is being taped in Council Bluffs, IA, where I'm from. I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones I can think of right now.I also know of a few independent film makers from here who are getting bigger. Gabrielle Union and Chris Klein are both from here. That ridiculous movie that came out I think last spring called "Fired Up!" started a kid that's from Omaha, went to Prep here. His dad was/is one of my former employers' huge donors, and we've all played golf together (by play, on my part, I mean handed out beer for charity)
