I got home much later than anticipated.Nutella Crinkle Cookies3 cups flour2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt1 11 oz jar of Nutella1/4 cup shortening1 1/3 cups granulated sugar2 eggs1 tsp vanilla extract1/3 cup milk1/2 cup chopped, toasted hazelnuts2 cups finely chopped hazelnuts (optional) sifted power sugarPreheat the oven to 375. Stire together flour, baking powder and salt in a medium sized mixing bowl.Beat Nutella and shortening in a large mixing bowl until combined. Add sugar and mix until combined. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour and milk alternatively and mix until just combined.Stir in 1/2 cup toasted hazelnuts. Cover and chill several hours until firm. Shape dough into walnut sized balls. Roll in finely chopped hazelnuts (optional), then in powdered sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes. The cookie is done when the surface is crakced and cookies are set.Makes about 70 cookies.Note: I don't include the 1/2 cup of chopped, toasted hazelnuts or the finely chopped hazelnuts.I apologize for any typos.
