Re: Holy Helllllll

  • Wow, that's amazing how they reacted to it.On a side note, I'm pretty religious but I don't believe that people dying is part of God's "plan" or that he "chose" Whitney.  If God was responsible for every thought and every action, we'd all just be programmed robots and have no purpose for living.  Instead, we all have freedom to make our own decisions, good or bad, and those decisions have consequences. But the bottom line is they seem to have a sense of peace with what happened, which is more than I could say for myself if it had been my family.
  • Hell, Asthma is a disqualifier. At least for the air force. That's what Noodle has, and he also has a bad back (bubbled disk or something) that goes out on him sometimes.  I told him he's an old man at 28.  He didn't think it was funny.

If I wanted to hear the pitter-patter of little feet, I'd put shoes on the cat. image

  • That's so awful. I can't even imagine the roller coaster those parents must be on. Like the article says, when a soldier dies, you get a knock on the door and an injury usually warrants a phone call. I think that the Army would try over and over again to give the news in person if no one was home, but I guess you never really know.
