Wedding gift thank yous

I recently had a shower and some of the guests brought the wedding gifts along, too.  They had me open them as well since they will not get to see me open them (live out of the country).  I'm doing thank you cards now for shower gifts...do I go ahead and write thank yous for the wedding gifts, too, or wait until after the wedding?  I was going to have photo card thank yous made after the wedding.  TIA!!!

Now.Skip the photo TY cards and use them for your first holiday cards together as a married couple.

Thank you for the advice. I wanted to send the thank yous now, but I want to do the photo "thank you" shot.  I think it's cute.  I'll just send them one later on too.

Well, I guess if you're sending two TYs then that works.  The general advice is to not delay a timely TY to a considerate guest by waiting on an AW picture for your TY.
