wedding invi. question

My cousin is getting married in a couple days, how long should I wait after her wedding before I send out my invitations?

Re: wedding invi. question

  • Just send them out 6 weeks before your wedding.  Don't worry about your cousins's.

  • Your wedding isn't until April, I wouldn't send them out until early March or late February at the earliest.  Why would her wedding have any bearing on when you send out your invites, hers will be over by at least 5 months.
  • Word. It would only be an issue if you handed out your invitations at her wedding.

  • For my April 10 wedding, I hope to send out our invites right around Valentine's Day.  You have loads of time.

  • Invitations go out 6-8 weeks before a wedding. Your cousin's wedding has absolutely nothing to do with yours. Are you talking about save the dates? Those can be sent 6 months out if you have a lot of out of town guests or you're getting married on a holiday weekend. But they're not the official invitation. You would still send those 6-8 weeks out.
